The workshop took place online via Zoom over five days, with two facilitators guiding a group of six enthusiastic participants, including three university students and three youth workers. Each session lasted 45 minutes and featured interactive discussions, creative games, and reflective reading activities.
Participants explored key topics from the YOUNGSDG methodology, including:
-
An interactive “Match the SDG” game to introduce the 17 global goals
-
A priorities debate to identify urgent and overlooked SDGs in local communities
-
Group reflections on inclusive facilitation and youth leadership and advocacy
The workshop created a supportive space for participants to connect, share, and reflect on their role in creating a more just and sustainable world. Feedback was overwhelmingly positive participants praised the interactive structure and the relevance of the content to their work and studies.
The pilot also served as an important opportunity to test and improve the YOUNGSDG methodology before it is shared more broadly. Based on facilitator and participant input, the project team will refine the modules, materials, and tools to ensure accessibility and adaptability for youth educators across Europe.
